Hi Friends,
I am playing HR Generalist role in my company i.e. MONDIAL Consultants Pvt Ltd, Mumbai.
[URL="http://www.mondialconsultants.com"]
I have got a new task today just need your help. Majorly all our employees in our company are on client side. Hence, i have been asked to get some ideas for employee motivation. Something that we can do online that will keep the bonding among the employees and the management. Something like 2-5mins online multiplayer games, e-magazine consisting some moralized stories of great achievers, new discussions like we do in citehr etc..... But my boss wants me to come up with some more unique ideas.
Can the seniors from Citehr who are much more experienced than me suggest me some thing good & different... I have got some ideas but still not satisfied.
Please suggest....
Thanks & Regards,
Taniya. (ann297@gmail.com)

Hi Taniya,
Basically it depends on what budget you have for ER activities. There are lots of things you can do but the basic constrain is budget. If you can share this then i would probably be able to give you some better and fruitful ideas.

Hi Taniya,

E-Select Readings - fortnightly or monthly- could be good! Give a format to you boss. He may appreciate it.

Title slide, followed by message from your head, One slide - some nice thoughts, two- four slides could be edited articles of relevance and another slide could be Cartoons and last slide could be seeking suggestions and contributions from the readers. When we seek wisdom or thoughts or advice, it spreads nice feeling and feeling of inclusion. One of the most motivating factors perhaps. Trust me out of my own experience I can tell this would be very useful. Each fortnight can be a different theme.

Announcing birthdays and wishing through intranet could be good as one finds collegues wishing thoughout the day.

You can Create a Book Lover's forum - employees can share about the books they read.

Start a discussion where they talk about the qualities they admire in others because it gives one a chance to look at one's ownself too.

One will try to share more as we go along.

Hey Taniy@,
There are 2 types of motivation that you can use.
Positive Motivation and Negative Motivation.
Its a gamble to use Negative Motivation but it can be very effective.
try googling for Motivational Games. You will find a lot of games.
One thing which works is a Team Picnic with Employees and Family.
Budget is a constraint but see how you can manage.
Reply if you think this was useful

Hey frenz,
Thanks a lot for your suggestions.... Especially Mr.Sood your ideas were really helpful.
Mr.Kalita I don’t have any budget as these games will not be done keeping any budget in mind. The basic concept behind this idea is that to motivate the employees as they are under huge work pressure at our client site and it’s just for a change of mind set. Hence, I have taken this initiative.
I have come with some points like celebrating birthdays, movies once in a while, 2-5mins online games (I need to gather games), Communication Forum etc.... But my boss wants continuity in all this. In the sense every month I sud come with some new innovative ideas for ER.
Hence, plz suggest what else can I do...
Thanks,
Taniya.
