Hi,
I am navnit recently joined a bpo.would like to know
1)under which act act bpo comes under - factories act or shop act or any other act?
2) what should be the leave policy for bpo working 26 days a month?
Kindly send valuable reply for this as i have to prepare a leave policy for our upcoming organization.

Dear Navnit,

BPO is covered under the State Shops & Establishment Act. First see which of the State Shop Act is applicable in your case & then go through leave provisions for different kind of leaves. If you have employed women employees then also go through Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 for grant of maternity benefit. A no. of leave policies are provided by the members & therefore download search on leave policy on this site itself. Prepare leave policy for your unit keeping in view law applicable to you. Plz see that this policy should not be contrary to law applicable to your unit.
