Dear All,
Mohammed is right after all we are human resource professional and we are there to make people comfortable not to annoy them, so think a way to make him realize his mistake in manner that he is not hurt at all and firstly study the situation and then act because this type of behaviour from HR people will result to dissatifaction of employee which will result to his departure and we all know that employee is the biggest asses of any organization.

this kind of incident can be happen with anybody these days....many people lost their mobile while travelling.
i suggest to solve it at organizational level inspite of lodging FIR against him.... see his past records, talk to his reporting head. talk to him regarding this incident. and then take any step.

i DONT AT ALL THINK MR . M PEER IS RIGHT................. can mer peer guareentee that if lavanya forgives him he will not do the same thing again , for heaven 's sake he is not a kid , and he should have been more carefull since he was carrying companys assests........
i dont think lavanya's seniours will be very happy if she simply lets that guy off with out penalising him ,
isnt it stange that this fellow lost all the 3 things together,,, i agree with gagan that he might have given / sold it to some1 .
since its not lavanyas own company i dont think she can b so liberal , .orrather she should , it SENDS OUT A VERYYYYYY NEGATIVE MESSAGE TO EVERY 1 ELSE IN THE COMPANY

Hello All,

Following email, I got from employee who lost company assets :

I Lost my secure ID and Airtel USB modem in train, during travel to customer product installation.
Incidence happens like this-
My train( Swarna jayanti-2782) departure scheduled time from pune was 9:30a.m. on 6th Jan. But train was late by 5 hours.
Also trains scheduled arrival time at mysore was morning 5:00 a.m. But reached Mysore at 12.15 p.m.
When train reached to Mysore I was using Laptop. Then I started to pack-up the laptop bag. Somehow I forgot to put pouch containing USB modem, mobile and Secure ID in laptop bag.
When I returned to hotel and wanted to use internet then I realised that I forgot modem, phone and Secure ID in train.

I returned to Railway station, informed to station master same thing. He asked me to check in train which was parked in spare track. I tried to find out, but things were lost.

I request you to issue another phoen, USB modem internet card & Secure ID for me.

Kindly forgive me, for this serious mistake.

Hello,
By the mail, we can say that this is a clear case of negligence from the employee's side, how can he be so casual with the office material. He knows what he has done.
So immediately fine him and get him a new ID card.

the employee himself thinks he has made a similar mistake , my dear LAVANYA , keep in mind what will you answer your seniours if u forgive him , basing on this letter ,
man it has got no evidence to proof what he said was right , (besides the late factor) .
btw what has the train being late got to do with himlosing all the three things at the same time .........
i guess we are human resouirce professionals , but not DUMB...
AND ITS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE CYNICAL THAN A FOOL:icon1:

If the secure ID provides access to your company business secrets or product secrets that are not supposed to be known otherwise, I should say, you had lost huge business secrets. This requires an departmental inquiry and further proceedings as found fit in departmental inquiry.
If secure ID got nothing to do with trade secrets, safely issue him a warning letter and replace his secure ID
Loss of mobile, Airtel card etc should always be provided for - Your charge him for that or not, that depends on your company's financial position and employee's track record in terms of his effectiveness and carelessness.
Keep a record in his file that he had lost and ensure the same person is careful with the official belongings hence forth.
If you being in HR are really confused about this, then safely ask the employee's boss to comment on this before replacing or replacing & charging

hi lavanya,MR.peer mohamed, who was suggested the right way to solve the problem, u can solve this problem this method only, just u take that mobile IMEI no which is having 15 digit number inside of mobile, and rise a complaint with mention that no and date , time and place,pls give it to near by ur police station, and u pls ask them for for do the need full, our CYBERCRIME POLICE,TRCK the lost mobile with that IMEI no, that no is very important, i have a nice experience by this method, u can also have it, reduce the mental tension,

USB modem internet card == this also can be blocked n its cost around 2-3K
Secure ID--- secured id can be easily blocked n its of no use to any chillar thief, thiefs r more interested in money, even if thief is not net savy he will throw out usb modem..all he will do is sell mobile handset thats all, so dont cut n mince the employee,, mistake happens with humans only and if u HR think like this, SHAME SHAME SHAME SHAME on UUUUUU,,,
