Dear all my professionals, I've completed MBA-HR and recently got posted in a reputed manufacturing industry highly impacted by Industrial Relations. I want to conduct a survey on IR and report the findings to management, benefiting both myself and my organization. To do this, I need to prepare a questionnaire and would appreciate it if you could share some sample questionnaires for reference. I hope you can assist me with this. Thank you in advance.

Dear Saran, Welcome to the HR fraternity! You have the opportunity to start your career with Industrial Relations (IR). This is a significant opportunity as mastering the essentials can pave the way for a successful career.
Regarding the IR Questionnaire:
- Please create a standardized format of multiple-choice questions (4 options for each question - KBC style) and limit open-ended questions to 2-3.
- Collaborate with your Manager to assess the current labor situation, mindset, analytics, turnover, absenteeism, and unrest/lockouts before formulating the questions to extract the necessary information.
- Introducing a form for employees to fill out may pose challenges; thus, it's crucial to present a mutually beneficial scenario to prevent any misleading information from being disclosed.
- Obtain approval from the employer and/or HR Head before conducting the survey to avoid potential confusion.
- Keep the survey results confidential from the employees in general and maintain a politically correct approach. Less information is preferable.
All the Best!
