The primary training would be to provide basic information for working safely with laboratory chemicals and equipment. Laboratory safety information outlines how the department complies with Government and Health standards.
Environmental Health & Safety
Providing technical support, information and training, consultation, and periodic audits of health and safety practices and regulatory compliance. For example: general safety, chemical safety, radiation safety, biosafety, and sanitation.
- Ensure laboratory workers, including staff, students, and volunteers, attend Laboratory Safety Training.
- Ensure laboratory workers understand the potential health and physical hazards of the chemicals and equipment used in the laboratory.
- Explain proper and safe procedures for handling hazardous substances used in the laboratory under all circumstances.
- Provide appropriate engineering controls and personal protective equipment to allow laboratory workers to work safely.
- Provide laboratory workers with the location and availability of the Departmental Chemical Hygiene Plan and reference materials, including material safety data sheets.
- Review and approve work involving particularly hazardous substances.
Safeguarding lab resources from unauthorized access, misuse, or removal is a duty of all faculty and staff. In laboratories, this obligation rests primarily with the head of the department and Principal Investigator; however, all laboratory personnel have a responsibility to take reasonable precautions against theft or misuse of materials, particularly those that could threaten the public. Any extraordinary laboratory security measures should be commensurate with the potential risks and imposed in a manner that does not unreasonably hamper research.
Hope the above helps.
You can reach me at [Phone Number Removed For Privacy Reasons] or [Phone Number Removed For Privacy Reasons] for any discussion or if you outsource training.

Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for all your suggestions and guidance. I also need some guidance when it comes to training our in-house trainer, especially those employees who are responsible for conducting inductions and overseeing the joining formalities of the candidates.
Can the Training Be Outsourced?
If yes, then please provide details of the entire training package.

Dear Mr. Chinmay Purohit, do you mind letting me know if you are the one who is going to train the Logistics Department and Laboratory staff? If so, have you ever interacted with them and evaluated workplace issues related to their domain or trade? Have you tried to differentiate between the domain/trade and individuals (human beings) as you mentioned needing key areas for training Laboratory and Logistics staff? Also, try to answer for yourself why you want to train people, as this will provide a complete picture for your query. Believe in acquiring information that is research-oriented to enhance your knowledge base. Remember, there are team members available to support you if you are unable to locate relevant information. Please forgive me if I am mistaken.
