I am HR in an interior designing company. I need good hr practices and policies to implement in my company. now there are so many issues among the regarding absenteeism, late coming & going, irresponsibility etc. I wants to support my company. so please advice if someone have ideas.

What you are asking is a vast subject. Any policy development varies from organisation to organisation and would be done in consultation with the management.
Are you looking only at absenteeism/late coming ?

Thanks for your response. I am Hr executive and have 2 years of experience but only 1 year in this company. But in our company hr department no so effective. I am the first person appointed in hr department. so I needs to work hard. I am trying my best. but i need more knowledge/information to improve our company. The issues that you have written are little serious in nature. These issues reflect the kind of organisational culture your company has. Good to note that you wanted to bring positive change. Nevertheless, you need to have support from the leadership. Otherwise it will be much ado about nothing.

Since i am from same industry and having worked with this kind of employees i can understand your problem.
Basically people from this industry carry a bag of ego which in tern comes out as an arrogance.
During my early career i was also in the same situation, then slowly i started studying the behavior of both organisation and individuals.
Individuals require motivation and organisation requires certain policies for development of technical and soft skills.
I have got the required fruit for this experiment and it will certainly work.
Hope you will succeed in this experiment.

Hi Anu,
Do you have the biometric attendance machine or the entry register.
Biometric Machines make people punctual as you cant modify even a single second in machine, Second is yes rightly pointed out 3 Lates = Half day / Half CL.and 3 consecutive Late = 1 CL
And if you dont have large Manpower you may announce that on zero late through out month would get extra salary of Rs. 200 or keap any thing that adds value.
Talk to them daily.... make yur repo with them. arrange different activities. On any weekoff arrange a cricket match.
Do something to boost the moral. It happes only when Moral of employee is dow. ALL THE BEST!!!

as fas as I know in manufacturing industry, often we need to prepare the flexible policy in such type of issues (Late coming and short leave).
make a policy which is suitable for your organization culture and discuss the management, but ensure that there should not be effect the production.
