    My friend is working with the organization for the last 18 years and throughout his tenure under various supervisors he has got good ratings in his appraisals. Recently a new boss took over and he is not able to tolerate my friends achievements, to be frank the boss doesn't have much experience and good credentials to his credit. He is feeling uncomfortable with all the senior members in his department, he tries to isolate the seniors and targets them. In my friends case, he filtered some important communication which was send by the top management inviting interested employees to be a part of some skill development program and he specifically told one of the junior supervisor to exclude my friends name from the list. And the junior supervisor being a nice gentleman informed this to my friend. This is not the first instance the boss is doing like this. I hope now you got some idea about the problem what my friend is facing.

    I agree.But in this case,i feel trigger was the wrong words used on phone.
    Role of friend who kept loudspeaker on is also in question.
    also the poster was bit too cool and casual in his words and action.In such cases intention may not have been bad,,but how the recipient of attention has taken it is the important thing.
    It is not possible the the friend did not know loudspeaker was on.
    Such cases are real learning experiences for members.One minute of careless behaviour or one wrong word can cause immense distress.
