Learn from the First-hand experience of raj042kool & follow it. You can also be sure that there are many who faced similar situations & did the same.

I would have suggested the same had you sent me a PM as I mentioned earlier--except that here you have a first-hand exp to go by.

Now that you have REALIZED that you made a mistake, DON'T RUN AWAY from it. Take it head-on & make the BEST USE of the situation. Take my word--YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT.

Like Raj Consultancy mentioned, no company--whatever be the size--will like to loose any employee WHO WORKS SINCERELY & GIVES RESULTS. I know of quite a few employees where, just because of this reason--efficiency & producing results--had actually taken advantage of the Company--sort of 'reverse situation'. Just Focus on your work. I think there were threads in CiteHR too of such situations.

And anyway, you have a good salary--now YOU NEED TO PROVE THAT YOU DESERVE THAT HIGH SALARY--NOT TO THE COMPANY OR ANYONE ELSE, BUT TO YOURSELF.

I can explain the situation you are into in other angles too--but this isn't the time for it I guess. So just get going & prove yourself.

And just question yourself about those who gave you feedback/information about the situation in this company--WHY ARE THEY STILL HERE, IF THINGS WERE SO BAD? And I am sure you will find that quite a few of them have been in this company much more than you have been--and DEFINITELY NOT because of the Bond.

within a two weeks of time .how it is possible for you predict the work culture and your work .It will take atleast two months of time to adapt the work culture .And you said that your ceo slapped some employees . Are you sure ? whether it is happened really ? Did you see that incident ? My advise is to concentrate in your work try to gain your knowledge . But dont make decision on listening to others .If in case not able to work in this atmosphere go and talk to HR that you are medical treatment so that you are not able to come two months of time just ask for leave . In the mean while find for other job .dont go for previous company they might not have good opinion about you . you are also might find difficulites going back seeing the same faces.

Hi Abhi,

You have made up your mind to leave, but the fact is that you will have to pay the bond money and notice period as you have signed the document. Absconding is a misconduct no one will advice you to do this.

If the company takes a legal action against you, you will spoil the rest of your career.

i am sure there is something (culture) which you did not like in the present company but until you are there look for the better side of it (Double Salary).

I would suggest you to hold on in the present company for at least 6 months completion of probation, do your best and let the company evaluate you.

make enough money to make for if you jobless in the coming months, look for better opportunities.

Set goals - Career Plan - what you plan to do in coming years, which skill set you want to be in, upgrade yourself with knowledge, educational background.

dont look for shortcuts, these are testing times which allow yourself to learn from them. I know it easier said than done but it is like that.

If still you find that you are not appraised then it is in your betterment that the company relives you, you don,t resign.

If you dont find the company to your expectations you dont perform let them ask you to leave at the time of your confirmation (completion of Probation period)

make sure that they relieve you in that case they cannot ask you the bond money nor the notice period because they will break the contract.

If they ask you to leave then you can do so by asking them to wave-off the notice period and bond money.

Think and take steps don't go absconding this will lead to a bad career in future.

I would like to tell you its not bad if you don't like the culture of a company, but you choose to be there so hold on, don't create problems for yourself, we all learn from mistakes.

All firms looks ahead for the performers; efficiency of work is all what counts. You have got this job on your own skills.
Bond is just to keep an obligation to work with a company for the specific timeline, while in case you don’t perform no company will keep you as a liability. In you case you are still not sure to keep the long track due to what you peer had crowed about.
The best way is to discuss with the HR and take a leave on mutual agreement.

I am agree with Archana points. I explain you a real story which happened at my company. Myself owner. One of my old employee spread same kind of news to new employee. That the boss of the company is not good. Salary are not paid on time. Though since the company has been stablished I pay salary on time. And i am very particular about the dues and wellfare of the employee. I lost so many good employee because one person. So old employee never wants that any new employee comes in their areena. They always disappoint new employee. So you work hard and don't liston other employee/colleagues. I have come to know this fact from one of my new employee who was needy and he shared this information with me.

First of all I would like to say, there is no bond system existing in India.

Legally no company can bind any employee to work for them like a slave.

Also an employee has to perform, coz it is the work which should speak for itself. Besides one should always weigh the pros & cons before signing any kind of bond. I won't say that you were wrong that you became greedy, big amounts are always paid to lure candidates and then you find yourself trapped. Its coz they pay you well and make you sign a bond.



I have seen companies who remove employees on probation without paying them salary and without even giving them any notice period to serve so that they can find another job for theirself. But if the employee has to leave them, they have to serve one month notice period else they are subject to the consequences. Isn't it unfair on the company's side to formulate such kind of policy??...Is it only at the discretion of the company to remove an employee without any intimation and money, and the employee has no say in it..??

Yes I know its unfair on part of companies, but I have no one but myself to blame. Now my concern is that

The project for which I was taken has delayed for may be one year that means either I will have to sit idle or do some other works where i dont have necessary skill sets. If second thiing happens I am okay with it but if the first thing happens, it is really like sword hanging over my neck.

Now I have three options.

1. Go back to previous employer, of course I did wrong to him by leaving him so early (less than 4 months) and ignore the bond

2. Work here for sometime (6 months) and then start looking for job. I might have money to pay for the bond. But what I have heard has really frightened me.

3. Start looking for job right now and change if I get some really good opportunity with big company (may be even at a lesser salary).

4. Fourth one I dont think I am sure about but work here for 3 years and serve the notice period

Which option seems better as per your expert opinion(s). Or may be you have some other things.

Also I would like to add when I was selected I was asked to sign a bon which I refused, However the HR here told me that its just a formality and also they have not yet claimed bond amount from anybody. SO i shall fearlessly sign the bond. Ofcourse I dont have this in writting.

Your bond, your liability for 3 months salary all depends on the validity of the bond and liablity under law of our country. So consult a lawyer if you are so much compelled to quit.
