Leave Policy Overview
Normally, the leave policy is essentially an internal matter of the company. Most companies have a standard practice of categorizing leaves as PL/EL, CL, and SL, totaling 30 leaves granted in a year. PL/EL are 15 days, CL is 7 days, and SL is 8 days. Availment of CL and SL cannot be clubbed together. CL/SL automatically lapse at the year-end, whereas PL/EL are frozen for encashment or the remaining balance can be carried forward to the next year.
