hi this is ??????? ..

i was previously working with one of the top banks of our country at a managerial profile. i was recruited at on-campus. i worked with that organisation for about 8 months. i was mis lead by some members for the forgery. so i claimed a false transport claim. i was caught and they terminated me. i could never imagine that ill lost my such good profile job for such stupid mistake of mine done unintentionally.

Now i am applying for a job. So i would like you to suggest me that should i show my work experience in interviews. I dont hv any relieving letter as i was terminated. n if i show my work experience the interviewer would point out why was i terminated/or left the job. so should i narrate the real story to the interviewer or dont show any previous work experience. i dont have any work-ex certificate so can i ask my previous bank for the work certificate.

Pls do send me some good suggestions as soon as possible at my email addrss given below.

With Regards,

I would suggest going to court. Is your misconduct so serious that you require to be terminated? May be impositon of a fine would take care of the matter. Bargain a bit, if they give you your experince certificate well and good, otherwise threathen them with a legal notice. A lot will depend on the nature of your job. Consult a lawyer. All the best - take them on, organisations have become ruthless.

Hi Navi
Eventhough you were terminated due to your immature action, what they did is right this would happen in any MNC company or bank coz one of my colleague when I was in Dubai had the same experience.
You can ask the previous company's HR department to give you an experience certificate that shows from and till when you were working there.
But still there are chances that the company may contact your previous company to confirm you have been working there.
So think about the consequences and then still if you want to mention the experience you can mention it in your CV.
Good luck in your job hunt

Hi No organization would tolerate the integrity issues. Even then be honest in the interviews and there could be some one to give you a second chance to correct your mistakes. It may take time and utilize the time to equip yourself ... All the Best

Dear navi7865,
ofcourse you don't have to sy any thing about what happend , you just give them Exp.Letter and that's it , if any one asked you about the reason of y u changed your last job , just say you're looking for a better offer .
GOOD LUCK

Hi Pooja,
I do not know your background or the organization you work for, but for many organizations, cheating/fraud/misappropriation are misconducts that merit immediate termination.
I sincerely believe no useful purpose would be served by taking on the company or "going to court". If I was in that organization, I would ensure that any such attempt would backfire on him, more than the original fault!
Instead of learning from his mistake, and trying to move on, he would be trying to put the blame for his error on the organization. What a pity!!

Dear Navi,
You have reached a situation which reminds me of the adage "Caught between the Devil and the Deep sea". What is did is a crime for which even people with 30 years service have been dismissed or forced to resign. Hence, there is no pint in taking on the company and then face more hardship.
The next question is do you hide the fact or publicise it. Even hiding the fact can be considered as misleading the firm and subject to severe action, including termination of employment (HR experts please correct me if I am wrong). However, reflecting on the episode, showing remorse, and explaining what happened and what lesson have you learnt, etc., may turn in your favour depending upon the propensity of the interviewer.
Thus, it is difficult to advise you. You have to see how it goes depending upon the situation.
Sorry, if I have not been of much use.
Best wishes

Sad to hear about it but things doesn't happen it the same way (said here, asking you to go to the court).
I have personally asked folks to leave due to integrity. however, your duration in the company being just 8 months, suggest to avoid showing an experience during this duration. Else, the stigma carry's along with you for a longer duration.

Hello Navi!
My suggestion would be not to disclose your work experience, incase u tell them that u were with so and so bank and give some reason for leaving the company, there are lots of possibilities for you to get caught during the BCG. Today most of the companies have their employees background checked before they recruit them. So my suggestion would be not to show your experience. Try to search a new job as fresher, with a fresh mind.
Its just a small fall , since u were with a top notch bank u must have good potential in you, All the best.

Lux
