I joined an MNC company in December 2021, but due to personal reasons, I had to abscond from the company in June 2022. I informed my Team Leader (TL) and my manager about the circumstances and left without serving any notice period.

After a few months, I received a Full and Final Settlement notice from the company stating that I was liable for not serving the notice period. Subsequently, they sent me a legal court notice reiterating the same.

I then paid the full and final settlement and sent the proofs to the provided email address; however, I have yet to receive any response from their side. I have received the experience letter, Form 16, and pay slips from the company portal, but the relieving letter is still pending.

What should I do?

The experience certificate indicates the end date of your employment and thereafter you stand relieved fully. Many organisations don’t issue relieving order separately in cases of abandonment.
