Hi,

I am Sandeep, working in the automotive manufacturing industry. We have 2 companies with the same name in Haryana. Both are located in front of each other, divided by a road. We have an EPF code for the first company, and I want to know if we need another PF code for the second company or if we can use it as a sub-unit. All employees' PF registrations are under the first company, but 25 employees are currently working in the second.

Kindly advise on what should be done.

Thank you.

Dear Sandeep,

Have you obtained two factory licenses? Do you maintain accounts separately for both units? Is the balance sheet separate? What is the nature of the activity performed in the units? How many salary abstracts do you prepare?

Thank you.
