No matter what industry you are in, it’s important to think of employee training as a lifelong process. Long gone is the time when the knowledge attained at university or college was enough for employees to make their best contributions in the business world. New knowledge is being discovered faster than ever before, and to stay competitive, your company’s employees need to stay up-to-date and learn how to apply new knowledge for your company’s benefit.
Designing a Continuous Training Program
Here's more information about how it's better to start designing a continuous training program: https://www.rallyware.com/blog/why_e...art_from_day_1
Many L&D leaders have adopted the continuous learning approach where training starts from day one (don't confuse this with onboarding; I am talking more about the wholesome training experience that is designed from day one and keeps growing with the employee's progress). I wanted to ask if any of you have such experience in your companies. What are the pros and cons of it?

The Importance of Training in Organizations
Training in an organization is essential to achieve the main objective, i.e., growth in business and ultimately profitability. To meet this objective, each employee needs to be trained in their domain skills, knowledge, and ability to perform their jobs/functions effectively.
These days, employees do not stay for long and look for fast growth, moving out of organizations for various reasons. Therefore, training becomes imperative to keep the business going and growing.
During the training process, the trainee or the employee also enhances their own skills and knowledge, staying updated. Whether the person stays with the organization or moves out, the learning part will give them an added advantage when looking for job opportunities elsewhere.
If an organization does not invest in training due to fear of attrition and potential loss of the money spent on training, they are sadly mistaken. Training must take place regardless of whether the individual plans to stay or leave.
The loss of skilled manpower is an unavoidable situation, and it is a universal truth and phenomenon that affects all countries, especially developing nations.

The Importance of Lifelong Training
Training is a lifelong process. To whom should it be directed? To the employee who wants to stay with the company until reaching an age where they may no longer be considered an asset, or to the employee who remains despite a lack of knowledge, shows no interest in production and progress, and has no other alternative but to stay? In today's trend, an employee may shift to a new career after feeling bored or experiencing no progress in their current field. Can a training program keep the employee engaged, and to what extent? What motivations can we provide to keep the employee fit for their current role within the organization? A lot of questions need to be addressed, and a training schedule that addresses all these types of questions can only succeed; otherwise, we may feel the pressure building on the company where transformation becomes a question in itself.
The Role of Consultants
Today, consultants are becoming important. In fact, they are becoming the bridge between the employee and the organization to understand the pulse of the employee and the culture of the organization that need to be addressed for future growth. In many cases, consultants act and provide valuable suggestions by gathering feedback from employees and customers to stay on the growth chart uninterrupted and keep valuable employees intact.
Projections for Continuous Training
Your projections for continuous training are becoming a must. When entwined with progress projections, future plans, and real growth, combined with the passion of the employee, they will help organizations grow in the competitive world.
