Validity of Legal Notices Sent via Email
You have raised a query about the validity of a legal notice sent through email; however, you have not provided complete information regarding who sent the legal notice and to whom it was sent. Why was the notice not sent through courier or by post? What was the necessity to send the legal notice by email? As far as lawyers in India are concerned, they generally do not agree on sending notices via email. In addition to sending a hard copy by post, email can be considered a secondary or additional mode of communication.
While email communication is considered valid in India, if the recipient denies having received the email, it is incumbent on the sender to prove that the email communication did take place. Generating this kind of evidence can be a cumbersome and time-consuming process.

Thanks, Sir. My friend's ex-employer sent a legal notice to my friend about soliciting their customers, although he did not sign any such agreement with them. They are asking him to pay more than 2 lakh. Can this type of legal notice be ignored? What are the consequences if he ignores their legal notice that may be sent by email?

Dear friend,
Your first query was limited to the validity of the legal notice sent through email, and I had responded to it. However, in your second post, you have provided brief information about the reason for the legal notice. Nevertheless, without knowing the background of the case and the contents of the notice itself, it is not possible to offer any advice.
In light of this, your friend may consider seeking the assistance of a lawyer to obtain proper legal advice.
Thanks,
