As per my knowledge, there is a calculation for determining the required number of fire extinguishers in the workplace based on the total area of the workplace. If anyone has this information, kindly share it for my reference.

Precautions Regarding Fumes and Fires under the Factories Act, 1948

Sections 36 to 38 of the Factories Act, 1948 pertain to precautions to be taken regarding fumes and fires. These provisions empower the State Government to prescribe the measures required for extinguishing fires. In the Maharashtra Factory Rules, such provisions exist. However, you will need to refer to the Delhi Factories Rules to determine the specific numbers.
