Hi all,
Can anyone give me names of some books that would give me knowledge about Indian Labour Laws? I have completed my PG (HR) from Canada. I have working knowledge of Indian Labour Laws, and when I have a doubt, I come to CiteHR and research it, ask friends, etc. So no trouble here. But now, I am looking out for a change. Labour laws are my weakness. So I want book knowledge. Now, that's the trouble! I can manage my job but would not be able to fend any interview questions. Please give me names of some books or other sources on the internet where I can find complete comprehensive (A-Z) kind of info on ILLs.
Regards,
Kavitha

Good afternoon, Prof Navale here.
There are hundreds of books available on Labour Laws. First of all, decide which area you are looking for. "Industrial & Labour Law" by S.P Jain, Dhanpat Rai & Co. will be helpful for you if related to Industrial Labour Law.
Thanks, regards.

Thank you, Mahesh.
I have often posted a question here and not received an answer. Usually, I have discovered a search through the website is enough for many queries. Now it feels great to be guided. I liked your 'to-the-point' answer.

I tried searching various discussion forums for the name of a decent labor law book, but there doesn't seem to be a single winner. So, I went to the bookstore and bought "Labour and Industrial Laws" by P.K. Padhi. The book is good and highly recommended, covering almost all the laws in detail. I hope it will help future aspirants.
Thanks, Aditya
