In my previous company, full, part, and quarter-time employees were categorized into three groups:
Full-time: 3 (3 basic salaries), 6 (4 basic salaries), 9 (6 basic salaries), 12 (8 basic salaries)
Part-time: 5 (Same as above), 9 (Same as above), 14 (Same as above), 18 (Same as above)
Quarter-time: 7 (Same as above), 11 (Same as above), 16 (Same as above), 20 (Same as above)
After the specified period mentioned above for each category (e.g., after completion of 3 years), employees would be evaluated on two factors: Attitude and Performance. The combined percentage of both factors would be calculated. For instance, if an employee scored 50% for Attitude and 70% for Performance, the average of the two (60%) would be taken, and then 60% of the basic salary amount would be given to the employee. Additionally, a certificate or shield would be awarded if the employee received recognition for the second time during their tenure in the organization (e.g., after 6 years). The same evaluation process was followed for part-time and quarter-time employees. The scores were assessed by the top management after receiving input from the Team Leader.
There were on-the-spot awards such as chocolates or small cash prizes. Once, there was an offer for a car lease for the outstanding employee, as they were the most senior and consistently received admiration from customers for their efforts.
There was also a polling session where employees had to write one name against the following five attributes: Attitude, Leadership, Teamwork, Commitment, and Performance. A typed slip was circulated through HR, and employees had to write a name against each attribute. The polling closed at the end of the day. Employees with the highest scores for each attribute were given certificates and awards such as Best Leader or Top Performer, etc.
