I have recently registered in this forum due to my interest in the HR field. I am in the final phase of my B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Sometime down the line, I would like to pursue an MBA in HR. Through the research I have conducted over the past few days on HR Management, I discovered that there are two primary roles: HR Generalist and HR Specialist.

Eligibility for HR Specialist Designation

I am interested in knowing the eligibility requirements to attain the HR Specialist designation. Is it based on experience in a particular stream, or do I need to undergo specific certification courses, or is it covered within the MBA HR program?

Thank you in advance for your response.

Path to Becoming an HR Specialist

Attaining an HR Specialist role is achieved through work experience in a particular field of HR, such as a recruitment specialist or a Compensation & Benefits specialist. Additionally, there are certifications available that can help you begin your career in an HR Specialist role rather than as an HR Generalist. Examples of such certifications include the SAP-HR course and the Train the Trainer course.
