Dear Seniors,
I work in a printing company, and in this company, the total leave allocation is CL 7, PL 21, and SL 7. I would like to understand what the standard leave policy is for a printing firm or any other company. In my previous company, the rule was only PL 15 and CL 7, but here, I am observing a different scenario.
Kindly assist me as I need to prepare the HR policy for this company.
Regards,
Amit

Hi Amit,
What Mr. Ullanat said is correct. As per the law, 15 days of PL are to be given to employees who have completed 240 working days. However, organizations generally provide CL/SL for employee convenience according to their own policies.
Mostly, I have 8 CL, 7 SL, and 15 PL, as commonly followed.

Dear Sir,
I've received your gratuity calculator. I really appreciate it. Please send me the Earned Leave calculator, where I can fill the number of working days, and it automatically generates the number of Earned Leave.

Dear Amit,
Greetings for the day.
Mr. P. Ullanat is right in the matter of SL, and as far as leave rules are concerned, if the establishment is providing maximum benefits, it is fruitful for all.
Thanks & regards,

Dear Amit Ji,
Your present company is following an ideal HR policy. I have no comments regarding your former employer, who provided fewer leaves to the employees. Let's focus on the present and work on making the HR policies in your current company more progressive.

Hi Amit,
As per the act, you can avail PL/EL for 15 days in a year. This is calculated based on every 20 working days you can avail 1 PL, and this is adjusted for every employee who completes 1 year with the organization. Also, he/she should work for at least 240 days in their previous year, whereas for newcomers, it may not affect. Consecutively, we can avail 5 PLs.
Sick leave can be given if there is no ESIC coverage for employees, such as those earning above 15k in salary. This is up to the management how they assign. In our organization, we have 10 SLs for employees. Consecutively, we can avail 2 SLs. If any employee takes more than 3 SLs, then they should provide the doctor's certificate.
Casual leaves can be allotted as per management's wish. In our organization, we have 9 CLs for all employees. Consecutively, we can avail 3 CLs.
The leave policy may not be standard and differs from company to company.
There won't be any policy region-wise, such as state-wise or company-wise. Mostly, all companies follow the same leave structure.
