Please clarify the following scenario: An employee takes leave on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, which are the weekend off days. Monday is a festival holiday, and the employee rejoins work on Thursday. Additionally, the employee was on leave on Tuesday and Wednesday. How many days should be considered as leave under the organization's policy of prefix and suffix leaves?

Prefix or Suffix Leave Policy

It is entirely your organization's policy. In our organization, we have a similar policy where an employee can avail any kind of leave, whether the week off or a public holiday may be a prefix or suffix. If any holiday or weekly off falls between leave days, then the employee has to apply for leave for that holiday or weekly off.

Adhering to Company Leave Policy

If your company policy states that taking leaves before or after holidays will be considered as leave, then it must be adhered to without any hesitation. There should be no wavering on this matter; we cannot disregard the policy.

it all depends on company policy. If policy gives suffix and prefix holiday benefit then one can avail that benefit. No issue.
