Dear Friends,
My neighbor works in a software company in Chennai. She is a fresher out of college. Her employer claims that they will not provide any types of leaves for the first 18 months. Only after completing the service of 18 months, the employee will be provided with the leave provision.
So, kindly tell me, for an employee who works in a software/IT company, what is the minimum number of leaves given to them in a year?
But according to the Indian Factories Act sec. 74, leave with wages column. It is said, every employee should be given one day leave for 20 days worked during the month. So, is the same applicable to even employees who work in the software/IT company? Or, are there any acts that specify the minimum number of leaves for an employee? If so, kindly specify the act's reference.
Thanks in Advance.
