Hi Tribikram,
I am not getting what exactly u want to ask...but I am trying somehow to clear u.
To give confirmation to any employeee, it depends on the company's policy. In our company we generally give confirmation to the employee after completion of his/her 6 months of period in the company.
Where as for notice period...I think the notice is what exactly u want to ask is resignation notice/ termonation notice is also depends on the company;s policy. In our company it is 3 months.

Hi,
As per the factory act it has to be one month for on roll employees. Please note that confirmed employees means employee who are permanent employee of the company.
For employees on probabation there is no such rule. Employees on probabtion can leave the company even with one day notice and the same applies with the company also.
More over if company has the policy that either party can terminate the employment with one -three months notice it is acceptable.

Hi All,
There is no hard and fast rule for determining the Notice period. It is based on policy of the individual company. Besides even in the case of the receipt of notice period certain companies exercise dicretionary powers based on the reason why the employee is unable to give sufficient notice.
In common parlance 3 months notice is required for managerial cadre and two months for executive or supervisory cadre and one month for down ranks.

Hi Tribikram :
Notice period is the period of time required by both the parties - the employee and employer to notify the severance of either of the parties.
Usually it is 1 month for junior and middle level employees and 3months for senior level managerial employees.
But some technical/manufacturing organisations have 6 months as notice period for the senior most employees who deal with the technical know-how or designing of the product, or in the R&D set etc.
In case if the parties are not able to give the actual period of time, the same is equivated by payment of the salary or the specific amount so specified in the appointment/agreement of employment.
Hope you got me.

Hi Tribicram,
The notice period for a confirmed employee is ONE MONTH either from his side or from company's side as per the Industrial dispute act section 25 F.
Some companies follow different criteria such as some have three month or two month notice period but as per law it is one notice from either side.
