dear friends, would be required to labour officer permission for maintaining computer record of payroll as per factory act 1948? Kindly clear my doubt as early as possible. regards

You must submit an application to the Labour Office to seek permission to maintain the soft copy of the Muster Roll, OT Register, and Wages Register. For safety measures, upon completing the month, please load the data onto a CD, take a printout, and file it. In case the entire data gets corrupted, you need not worry because you would only lose the current month's data, which can be easily retrieved without much struggle.
