Hello Seniors,
I am a BBA(2011) graduate, working as a H.R Executive in an I.T Company. I was planning to continue working and do M.B.A through Distance Learning. But now, after reading posts on this useful site, I have come to know that SAP is also very beneficial. Though I want to do both MBA and SAP at some point of time in my life, I just want to know what I should do first? And are their any particular requirements for doing SAP?

Dear Aakritikalla,
If you want to do SAP HCM must it is better to do MBA first. After completion of SAP course, it is meaning less to go for MBA. And if you have knowledge in all HR activities and minimum basics on computer its enogh for you to do SAP.
Well there is no need to be worry about anything. You can enroll yourself for MBA and can continue SAP Certification Course along with your study. SAP 1 or 2 hours for few months and MBA is a two year program. There are numbers of people who are doing the same and I believe you can also manage them. MBA Distance study or weekend classes enable you to continue your MBA study and SAP which allow students/candidates to join classes 5-6 weekly.
Best of Luck
Dear Akrithi,
Doing an MBA is always have an edge over doing SAp course in HR. I am not discounting the impotance of SAP but by doing MBA your gates will be wide opened in job market. There are chances to get trained with company's Sponsership also.
Another fact is by doing an MBA you will be entring in to the corporate world at a better level.
if you need any further assistance mail me @vasudev@toolsacademy.net
Dear Akrithi,
first of all congratulations for being an HR executive in an IT company at such a young age. i am sure you would have understood much of the HR aspects which you are planning to study in coming time.
i would request you or any knowledgeable person as for the matter..to throw some light on SAP-HR because i seem to be ignorant about it.
secondly, Akrithi, i am currently pursuing MBA in HR and finance with major in HR. frankly speaking studying the course shall be way too easy for you as you have dealt with the practical aspects already but on the other hand majority of the companies demand an MBA degree. so to move up the ladder in the corporate world apart from the experience you also need a valid degree.
and as far i have understood from the above posts, that SAP is a certificate course, then you can certainly go for both the things. but cannot equate a certificate course with MBA degree.
God Bless All.
- Pragati.
If you are having confusion which field you do first whether its MBA or SAP then i will suggest you to go for both. I mean MBA with SAP. You can do MBA from Recognized University and do SAP Course side by side expert trainers will help you. With SAP you can make your career in Production, Controlling, Finance, ERP etc.
