it depends on the company policy. Mostly they will cover if they provided visa for all your family members.

Yes, it is compulsory to cover all employees under GOSI for single status employee and Family Status employees (Spouse, self and dependants), as per Saudi Labor Law.
Besides, GOSI; companies also provides private medical insurance Card, to the employees, since in GOSI coverage is limited and also companies does not have time to handle the GOSI requirement when seeking medical assistance for employees. Private Insurance company are wel organised and admin process is better.
However, dependents age limit is fixed for male and female by company. Usually company responsibility ends after age 18. This age limit also varies from company to company. For girl child few companies cover till they get married.

Dear,
If the company is providing family visa (either for expats or else one), medical insurance is obligatory for the issuance of Iqama (residence permit). But, its all depends on company policy & employment terms of the particular employee that whether the company will be responsible for getting the insurance done or the employee himself. In case of GOSI, it is for employees only. Also, GOSI (General Organization of Social Insurance) is not a medical insurance. So, in the discussion, GOSI doesn't has any specific role.
Continuation to the discussion, the word "family or dependent" does not stand only for spouse. It should cover for all the family members (for male dependents up to the age of 18 and for girl child till marriage), as per the Saudi Labor Law.
Thanks & Regards,

Hey,
GOSI is also an Social insurance and you will note that all medical centres in Saudi Arabia, has a GOSI counter to serve the employees and it has limited cover and liability towads Expat. Yes, you are correct it did not had any relevance to discussion, but just though of mentioning.
@Ed, answering your second query:
As per contract, if Employee Status is Single. And if this employee gets his family, the responsible for covering the family insurance will be on the shoulder, which he has to payup to the company to cover his family as well before issuing the Iqama for family. Most company cover employees family against payment as it has the advantage of having "Maternity also covered" under group policy and besides premium is economical.
"Regret my confusion on GOSI and insurance question"
