Effectiveness of Employee Training

In your long article, you have given reasons for conducting employee training. However, nothing is written about the effectiveness of the training. I wish you had mentioned a line or two on the measurement of the Return on Investment (ROI) on training. An employee training cannot be conducted just with good intentions. Someone has to take ownership of checking the result of the intentions. Who else other than HR can be made accountable for doing so?

HR Perspective on ROI Measurement

In the heading of your post, you have mentioned that the article is "HR Perspective." Yes, truly, it is an HR perspective. I say so with a little irony because in the last 15 years, hardly have I found an HR professional taking interest in the measurement of ROI. This was so even though I tried to help them in doing so. Measurement of ROI on training misses from their thought process as much as it has been missed in your article.
