Hi all,
Why is the HR department always sidelined and given minimum importance, especially when all the policies and procedures are incorporated by the HR department? Employee satisfaction is crucial at every level. When the department, which is meant to overcome employees' differences and problems, is itself not satisfied, how can anyone expect a satisfied organization?

Dear Friend,
A driving license is required for a forklift operator in the factory covered under the Factory Act 1948. We provide safety equipment, routine eye checkups, including tests for color blindness. Please suggest whether a driving license is required or not. If required, whom should we issue the driving license to, or should we approach the state RTO?

HR Department is never to be sidelined unless HR tries to poke its nose everywhere and starts asserting its authority unnecessarily. At that point, it begins to lose its importance and value. Reflect on the history of your organization when it began losing its significance; you will likely find instances where HR may have attempted to override the authority of others.
It all rests on the HR Personnel to ensure whether the department is the most respected or the most detested and neglected, based on their actions, contributions, and advice provided to their superiors and employees.
