Queries Regarding Employee Benefits
1. One of our company employees passed away 3 years ago in a road accident. Is his wife eligible to receive the EDLI benefit? If yes, how much can she claim?
2. Additionally, she is receiving a widow's pension. The PF department has denied her pension, stating that she can only receive pension benefits from one government department. She no longer wishes to receive pension benefits from the PF department as she is already receiving a widow's pension. However, she wants to withdraw her husband's PF amount. What documents does she or her employer need to fill out for the withdrawal? Please provide a brief description as this is very important.
3. The late member's total service tenure in our company was 8.6 years. Is his wife eligible to withdraw his pension amount or only the PF amount?
