Hi,
I resigned from my old company last August. Now, I would like to know the process regarding my PF amount. Can I withdraw the amount or transfer it to another account? Please provide me with the necessary information. Additionally, any value-added suggestions are welcome.
Thank you,

Hi Praveen,
You may withdraw or transfer your PF amount. If you have joined somewhere else, then you may ask for the transfer of your PF amount. Otherwise, if required, you may withdraw the fund by filling the withdrawal form 10C and 19.

Amit Seth.

Hi,
While the transfer appears good, there is a problem that the old PF account may not be transferred effectively in time. By that time, you may leave the present and move on to the next. My colleagues had a bitter time not knowing which one to follow up with.
So, it's better to close the PF account every time whenever you switch over to a new company. If the PF account of the same state is this complicated, then think of the interstate PF transfer. Good heavens...! It's better to be a consultant and be free from PF claim headaches.
Withdrawal has always been a challenge. They should abolish it if it proves to be a nightmare because our money is also lying in the dark.
Good luck, dear!!

I had resigned from my old company in the year 1995 and joined a new company in January 1996. Both companies are depositing the P.F. amount in their own trusts. My P.F. account in the old company was not transferred or withdrawn to date. Can I withdraw the amount? Please provide me with proper guidance.

Hi,
I need suggestions regarding my PF as I have resigned from my job. I did not serve the notice period in my old office and joined the new office without being relieved from the previous one. Now, I want to claim my PF amount. Is it possible to apply for PF without my old company's help? If yes, please provide the application method.
Thank you.

Dear Rajeev,
You have not clarified when you submitted the withdrawal forms. Generally, it takes 15 to 20 working days after submission with the PF department. Check the submission with your previous employer; it might have been returned due to some clerical error. You may also submit a newly filled-up form.
