I am working with a top RAC manufacturing company from last 18 months .Me and a few other persons were recruited for a new plant ,which was planned to be in production by last year.Anyhow all of the new recruits were sent on deputation to other plants at different locations and now after 18 months of dedicated service at the allotted plant HR Head gave us a notice of 30 days to "OPT for some other Job as the HIGHER Management has decided to call OFF the new Plant and they cant accumulate us anywhere .Can i Go Legal against them?

Dear Guidance-Seeker,
Please carefully read and understand the Text in your Appointment Letter before contemplating any Legal Remedies.
The Employer would have definitely included a Clause /Terms of Employment to the effect that you, the Employed Person, shall not refuse to work on any other Position in the Establishment or any similar Position in any other Establishment of the same Employer without affecting your Remuneration, your Service Conditions etc

Appointment order and its terms and conditions hold the clues to the answer. Normally in such cases legal action will not be useful.
