Is ID card for Staff & Managers mandatory as per factories act in India? Is there any prescribed format for it?? Your views & advice will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Dear Kamal,
As per the Madras High Court, it is mandatory for all government employees, as well as those working for local bodies and other government instrumentalities, to wear an identity card during working hours.
There must be a specified template; I will check and update you soon. Meanwhile, you can follow the instructions below:
- Name and contact details of the body
- Name of the ID holder
- Purpose (employee/visitor/temporary)
- Designation
- Contact details of the ID holder (address and contact number)
