Dear Seniors, I am working as an HR Executive in one of the software companies. My concern is that we have only a 3-month probation period. So, is it compulsory to revise the salary after the employee is confirmed? We provided a significant hike to the employee when he joined our firm. It's not that he is a poor performer, but I just want to clarify if it's mandatory to revise one's salary upon confirmation.

Salary Revision Upon Confirmation
There is no hard and fast rule regarding the revision of salary. Nowhere in the law is it stated that you need to revise it upon confirmation, but you do need to pay them the minimum wages payable. The question of salary revision is left to the management. I would suggest keeping one year as a performance period.
