I am working in a software service-based company. I have taken leave of 50 working days due to sickness. However, my company doctor is not approving the certificates and medical documents I have submitted. My HR is asking me to write a letter stating that I was at fault, I have taken prolonged leave, and will not repeat it in the future. I have asked him about the consequences of this letter, and he replied that as this is the first incident, the company will issue me a warning letter only. But I am not sure about it. Also, I will mention that I am under a bond period of 2 years owing to an amount of 50,000. Please suggest:
i) Are they going to take this letter and use it to ask for resignation?
ii) Will they mention it in my experience/relieving letter?
iii) What if I stick to my medical reasons and refuse to write the letter?

You may consider writing a communication to the company stating that you are prepared to work for an additional period of 50 days (which you missed due to sickness) after the expiry of your bond period. See what the management's stance would be.

Thanks for the reply. But while on leave, I received a show cause letter. So, I reported back after recovering. The doctor is not accepting my medical documents, so the HR personnel are asking me to write a letter stating that I was at fault, took prolonged leave, and will not repeat it in the future. They mentioned that since this is the first incident, the company will only issue a warning letter. I am unsure whether to write this letter, and even if I don't, the matter isn't progressing. Currently, my pay is stopped, and I have to frequently meet with HR.
I have discussed this with colleagues, and opinions are divided. Some suggest that if I receive the letter, HR may shift blame and terminate my employment. Please advise me on how to proceed.
