Understanding Service Rules for Employees in Mumbai

Please help me in the following aspects:

1. To understand the importance of service rules for employees in Mumbai.
2. How or whether we can relate to the Trade Union Act.
3. If possible, any sample of an employee service rule book from any chamber would be appreciated.

Looking forward to your valuable inputs on the same.

Firstly, your information is not adequate regarding what you want to know about service rules, whether for public sector or private sector employees, and why you need to understand the Trade Unions Act and its purpose.

Service rules define the service conditions of any job or service in any establishment. They vary from company to company, whether in the private or public sectors. Some organizations have service manuals, while others have certified standing orders, so you need to be a bit specific.

Yes, these service rules also need to be authorized by the trade union because the service rules will be binding on both parties, so they are related to unions. In the case of standing orders, one copy is sent to the union president so that if they do not like any clause in the service rules, they can object before such a standing order becomes certified; 15 days are given. It is quite important; otherwise, problems or disputes may arise, as stated under Schedule 2 of the ID Act.

There are many samples available; please use the research button at the top.

Thank you for your comments on my query, Mr. Sai Kumar and Mr. Soumik. The basic purpose of this post was to understand whether a Chamber (covered under the Shops and Establishment Act) having a Trade Union can prepare Service rules. If so, who will be the addressed employees - the regular working members of the Chamber or the Trade Union employees of the Chamber? I tried using the research button for a sample service rule book but was unable to find one, so I had to request your assistance.
