Hi all, my seniors, I have 3 years of experience in recruitment at a Delhi-based consultancy as a placement officer. I have a B.Tech in CSE. How can I apply for a good job in any MNCs? Can I pursue a corresponding MBA in HR?
Please let me know what I can do.
Thanks and regards,

Hi All, I am Rajinder. I am working with a Gurgaon-based consultancy and I have the same query. I have completed my MBA and have 1.8 years of experience in recruitment. I want to move into a corporate HR generalist profile. Please guide me on the right path.

Dear Friends,
Previously, I was also like that. But suddenly, I felt that I am not on the right path. So, I changed my department to HR Generalist. At that time, my compensation was very low, but even then, I felt happy because I was in the right place. Everyone may have opinions, but facing things on our own is crucial. If you feel that your current workplace is not right for you, please leave and find a job that you truly want. Don't just focus on the money; consider the experience you are gaining. This mindset will help you progress.
Always share your experiences; it can inspire others to rise from their challenges.
Best regards,
Kamal

Dear Ashu and Rajinder,
As Kamal said, no doubt there is no career growth in consultancies. Moreover, your experience of working in a consultancy will not be counted unless you are applying for a recruitment job in any company. It is almost impossible to get a generalist HR job in an MNC with experience in recruitment in a consultancy.
My suggestion to you is, rather than thinking only about MNCs, try applying to companies in any sector. This will give you much better exposure to the corporate world. Companies other than MNCs are often in a transformation phase, aiming to become an MNC or to build a similar culture and business environment. Working in such companies, as I am doing, will provide you with more confidence, learning opportunities, grooming, and knowledge to prepare yourself to be a part of an MNC company.
All the best.

Hey Khem, thanks a lot for your valuable advice. We'll definitely try for the middle-level companies as well. Even I am trying for the same. Be in touch and do guide like this.

Hi,
I want to share something here. I started my career as a lecturer for MBA, then worked as an HR recruiter in a management consultancy, and later changed my profile to an HR executive in an ITES company with a generalist role. I am currently working as an Assistant Manager HR in a software company.
What I want to convey from my career growth is that wherever you aspire to be, just envision it and proceed – you can achieve what you desire.
