In the new dynamic environment, the HR role has become very challenging. Some of these challenges include:
1. managing diversity
2. managing performance
3. attracting and retaining talent
4. integrating HR with other functions
5. contributing to the organization's strategy
6. continuously learning about different cultures (in the context of globalization)
7. contributing to revenue generation (remember, money saved is money earned)
8. keeping employees motivated
From my perspective, the time has come for HR to be recognized as a significant contributor. As members of this fraternity, we all must maintain our spirits to perform at our best.
