Hi all,

I want to send one of my senior persons for external training for XYZ. After he comes back, he is required to train others in the company. Can you suggest how I can monitor or plan for it?

Dear Raj,

Training is a specialized activity that takes time to acquire expertise. In your case, today you send a person to learn something, and tomorrow you expect him/her to impart the training on that subject to others. While this is theoretically possible, in practice, it may not work.

One of my clients' Managing Directors did the same thing. They hired an American training company to train their six managers in a program titled "Commando Managers." The MD suggested that these six managers could then train another 8-10 managers. However, the project ultimately failed. I will share the name of the company privately.

By the way, what specific training do you want to provide? We can arrange customized training for you at an economical cost. If you wish to learn more about my training activities, you can visit [link outdated-removed].

Thanks,
