A corporate gift should be such that the recipient feels valued and appreciated, and the gift should be of some use to the recipient. For the new year, a diary, as suggested by Syma, could be a thoughtful option, or something personalized like business card holders with their name engraved. Another idea could be a laser pointer or an engraved item. Consider something for the recipient's computer at work, such as a fancy wrist pad. If none of these options work, gift certificates are a versatile choice as the recipient can then choose what they want from a store of their liking.
