Hi,

I am looking for New Year gifts in and around Rs. 1000 for my staff and clients. We have already offered key chains, diary, travel mug, and ceramic glass. Do you have any suggestions apart from my above list?

I am looking for New Year gifts in and around Rs. 1000/- for my staff and clients.

Is Rs.1000/- per staff or Rs.1000/- for total all clients and staff? If Rs. 1000 is for all staff and clients, then please state the number so that the approximate cost per gift could be estimated, and we could assist you better.

Thanks

Roopa,

You can do something really wicked if you wish. If you could manage to get hold of a snap of all your employees (Soft Copy), get your web designers to work on their faces and make it most funny, frame it, and present it to them on the eve of New Year. It will add a sense of humor and it will be a lot of fun too.

All the best.

Cheers,
Nikita

Thanks, Sangeeta :)

You can set the tone of their minds before giving the gifts. For example, at my organization for Christmas, we presented personalized notes to all the employees along with Christmas gifts. It works because the spirit of the occasion is such. In the worst case, you can apologize beforehand to employees whom you feel may get offended.

Hi Nikita,

What you are saying is somewhat correct. But in big organizations, you have to take special care when doing such a thing, as it can attract a lot of criticism from a few of the employees/executives. Apologizing later does not help as much. The best way is to have management's consent before engaging in such an activity.

You could also give 1 GB pen drives. They are quite useful for each working professional! You could give them management books as well. Deepti

Sure Sangeeta, Respective company HR would know the pulse of the company better and hence will act accordingly.. It works for some and it dosent work of others.. Anyways .. Cheers, Nikita

Roopa,

You can create a diary that includes the basic rights outlined in the Indian constitution:

1. About PF
2. About ESIC
3. About Bonus
4. Basic Rights
5. Traffic rules
6. Others

By providing this information, not only your company's employees but also everyone else will have access to their rights and benefits.
