Hi,
I have recently resigned from a company. In the settlement, they have informed me that they are deducting my salary for 10 days as I did not fill out the timesheet. Despite being present in the office and having the swipe card information to verify my attendance, they are refusing to pay me for that period. Could you please confirm if it is legal for them to deny my salary for such a reason?

Dear Krishna,
First of all, you have to check whether your card is working properly or not. Then, ask the HR department for a printout of your attendance during your notice period. If complete attendance is recorded, they do not have the right to cut or deduct your salary.
