Such superfluous undertaking is indeed preposterous and as you have said, no right thinking individual would sign it.

The wording sounds highly imperialistic.I do not even understand the necessity of such an undertaking by an employee.It takes away from the employee the right to appeal against an unjust order or a penalty disproportionate to the misconduct.
