Dear All,
You all are simply creating a mountain out of a mustard seed.
There are so many advt floated across the industry wherin they require specific gender for specific Jobs.
Its very common these days... So, What are we doing as a HR fraternity??? We are simply accepting what it comes.
So, the requirement could be genuine/ could not be genuine. You all are agitated as if you all are in dire need of Job & just because they need a Female HR Head you are frustrated and therefore this controversy.
Pls think logical & not emotional.
And abt Parthos Comment & Captain cooks comment:
In todays corporate world, such fings are very common. Some are open & some under the carpet irrespective of if You hire a male or a female employee.
CC : Do not exaggerate or blow matter out of proportion, just because of hiring 1 Head HR (female) nothing is going to hange.
So, just relax......THere are better things in life to concentrate on...

Dear Captain Cook,

U r right. There are many companies that will have to change their mindsets.
Well... as it was earlier discussed abt "Equal Employment opportunities" by western countries... how many actually practise it?
As I mentioned earlier - a Fortune 100 US IT company, Sourcing Specialist - had requested me to send male candidate profiles for a position in their company. So it makes no sense if ur company website keeps shouting on Equal Employment Opportunity... But do u practise it?

Again, I dont blame the US client, because the position demands the "MALE" factor, apart from the skills which may be found in a female as well.

Its also in seeing who fits the position perfect!

And do u agree with wat Partho says? Just hire for "the pleasure of our eyes"
DOnt u think that he himself has this wierdo thinking abt female candidates? How on earth can he talk abt Gender Discrimination.. when he himself says that the hire is only because the CEO wants someone to entertain himself.

And pllzzzzz dont talk abt Indian Credibility in the Job Market - Hey wat are those NRIs doing here in My Country - back from the US walla who chucked u out??

Hi Guys!
We saw just one post of female requirement and felt so bad that we started talking about discrimination. Where are we when females are NOT prefered in 98% of the industries. Are they the ITEM BOYS?
Where are the people when females are denied higher position simply for the reason that they are females?
I think some men are too selfish.
