Sick Leave is Mandatory for all Employees? Is there any law for Corporate Employees? Thank You.

I think that the poster has used the term " corporate employees " in the sense " employees working in some offices " as distinguished from those employees working in factories or in the field. There is no mandatory provision for sick leave under the Factories Act,1948. Sick leave should be mandatorily provided to employees employed in shops or establishments. Every office located outside the premises of a factory where the State's Shops and Establishments Act is applicable is certainly an establishment under the Act and therefore should be given SL as per the Act.

Those employees who are covered by ESI Act, they can avail benefits fromESIC.
But those employees who are out of coverage of ESI Act, should necessarily be given
Sick Leave - whether they are working in corporate office, or branch offices or factories or
Godowns.
