Giving you very simple 4 steps to know the KRA and KPI.
1) Core activities (Not daily)
Purpose of this
2)Other activities (Not Daily)
Combine the purpose of these two activities will get the KRA
KRA:- is basically the result of the activities you do and not the activity.
KPI:- is the the performance indicator through which you can mesure your activities.
KRA has to be simple :-
S- Specific
M- Measurable
A- Achievable
R- realistic
T- Time Bound.
Always take care while you prepare KRA has to be realistic.
