Dear All,
Given the vast improvements in technology and the dependence of many companies on their in-house career portals, what is the future of recruitment consultancies? A lot of companies seem to be using their HR recruiters for end-to-end recruitment work, including sourcing and shortlisting profiles. What do these trends portend for recruitment consultants? What about the downturn in the economy and its impact on the recruitment business? Would appreciate if experienced recruiters/consultants on this forum could shed some light on new trends in recruitment and strategies to tide over unfavorable circumstances. What is the value-add that a recruitment agency brings to the table?

Dear friend,
You're right, today most companies are getting involved in the end-to-end recruitment process to reduce errors in the outsourcing process and execute all processes themselves to make it more effective on quality control parameters, which require vertical knowledge. I do not think outsourcing one function of the process would be cost-effective for any corporate bodies. It is likely that the industry will see an improved focus on particular specialists. In recruitment, there is an up-and-coming trend towards specialist agencies to support specific processes and sectors, such as those who can handle the whole recruitment automated process. It is likely that understanding a particular client's requirements, processes, and industry will become more attractive.
Many thanks,
