Hello fellow HR members,
I have few questions regarding recruitment procedure... especially bgv (background verification)...posted this in another group but did not receive to the point answers....TIA....any third party agency , pls inbox me the details or contact number.
1. Does your organization conduct education verification from University or college. Or just physical verification is done.
2. What are pros and cons of doing education verification from college/University and whether it is advisable
3. How much time it takes - duration and how much would it cost per employee
Any insight would be very helpful to standardize the bgv procedure at our organization. Thank You.

If the Interviewrers / Interview Committee can not Make Out whether an Applicant-Being Interviewed, is Worthy or otherwise for the Position Interviewd, What other Info obtained thru 3rd Party source, would do and for this Imp Credential ( commitment to New Employer + Competence for Job Being Tested For) Interviewers /I Committees Invest so much in Selection Process. To a large extent, for internal Candidates/ Prospects for Promo to Higher Position, Org rely on Info available. Shortlisting + Interview Process are Stage when Mgt knows for sure if the Applicant is Most Suitable or Not. Plus Every New Entrant has to Declare / Proclaim in writing that ..." All Information Furnishd are True and in the Even, it would be Found Out that any Ino Furnished was Not True, Quick Disciplinary Action effectively is initiated.

Thank you for the insight, team Kritarth.
I was more interested in existing processes followed by various sector organisations....
I have to agree with your point of view but at the same time I feel it would be impossible to solely rely on the first impression of the candidate, that we get in an 2 hour interview hence the need for bgv.
Thank you.

Hi,
Our company has tied up with third party employment verification agency to conduct background checks on new joiners related to their education and previous employment experience.
I believe its beneficial to authorize such agencies to proceed with verification because they get written communication regarding the authenticity of the documents submitted by candidates. Although, it can take upto 2-3 weeks time for university/college to respond especially its becomes difficult in case the candidate does not submit degree because most government universities do not reply without proof of degree. In this case, chasing the new entrant to submit degree as soon as possible becomes a priority. Many times our agent complains that previous employment check is pending as the concerned HR is not responding. Overall, it is a good process because in the end the representative submits us complete copy of verification in pdf file mentioning the exact communication that took place between the two parties with dates/time mentioned.
The agency we tie up with charges approx Rs 1000-1500 per employee (verification - education/employment/physical address/database check/court procedure/reference check)
Thanks and Regards,
Akash Sharma

There are not always competent departments with HR, which miss out on some points of verification, bypassing formalities. Making requests for education without waiting for an answer, accept the person at their own risk. Perhaps, they interview people for knowledge directly in the company. I know that some HR publishing companies use the website https://freebooksummary.com/the-cruc...-devices-22136 to check a new employee on the presence of material on it trying to hit the literary devices of the crucible. Judging by the feedback, it helps to reduce the time for checking and determine the level of knowledge of the person who is applying for a new position. I also believe that HR is, to some extent, a psychologist who must use a few questions to determine whether a person is telling the truth or not.

Today, companies are rather considering your practical skills and knowledge and not just a paper where its' writter that your're good. So, I think the most important thong is to present yourself appropriately. For example, you can prepare a concise and interesting speech, and a simple converter on https://educat.tools/words-to-minutes will help you make it short and coherent.

Several companies have different creteria to work. The verification is important either it is physicall or by the Universities but most of the organizations such as nursing assignments by AcemyAssignment have no time to verify your qualification from the institute.
So they just verify the hardcopy of your degree in most of the cases.

Good day. In the current realities, companies are more likely to consider your practical skills and knowledge, and not just a resume and other pieces of paper, which says that you are good. In my opinion, the most important thing is to present yourself correctly. For example, you can use https://bit.ly/3lZQxrJ to improve your writing skills. The service will help you make it concise and coherent.
