I am not really happy with this contribution. I don't think we HR professionals are so dumb. I think this is a site where all HR professionals try to help and motivate each other but this post is frustrating.
If you want us to take it lightly and as a joke then the correct section to put is HUMOUR section and not here.
No heart feelings but this is my personal view.

I have a doubt on a person who has posted this presentation on HR site... i think you are not an HR professional.. Well, i don't prefer even jokes on the work that i do because i love and respect my job...
Strong HR Department can make lots of difference in any organization and i firmly believe it.. I request you people don't underestimate our values..

Dear Mr. Kumar,
it is really surprised that being HR Manager you are posting this kind of thing. I believe you are not a true HR person.
for your kind information only HR has the quality to evaluate an engineer or any body else.
I think we people should not entertain this kind of person on this cite . this cite is purely dedicated to an true HR professional

WELL MR.PRASHANT,
ALL I CAN SAY ABOUT THIS POSTING IS
"NOBODY HOLDS A GOOD OPINION OF A MAN WHO HAS A LOW OPINION OF HIMSELF".
SIMILARLY, WE HR'IANS WILL DEFINITELY DO NOT LIKE THIS POSTING.

Guys,

Be a sport...all that Prashant has done is to tell you what others think of HR..he did not make it, he merely posted it...if you react to it badly, it'll only encourage people to make more of it...

...remember your school days...the boy who cried the loudest, was the butt of most jokes...we grow up, supposedly become wiser, but do not stop reacting the same way...

enough of that...one difference between engineers and HR guys that people told me was this:

"suppose there is a bridge to be built. The engineers will make the best design, use project management techniques, and will make the best bridge on time and within costs. BUT they will not care is that is what was required by the commuters or what problems they had to face when the bridge was being buit. Result - we have a fantastic bridge but nobody can use it.

Now comes the HR guy - is most concerned about what everyone wants, will try to accommodate everyones need, will not want to offend anyone, will try to build consensus, hold meetings in group, will hold meeting one-on-one. Result - we have no bridge!!"

Figure out which scenario would you prefer :-)

What iamvik has written is absolutely right. I also want to wright that We are the person who serves to people & engineers are suppose to serve machines it results we are more sensetive towards people hence more social hence more contribution towards society hence very good contribution on Indian society
Whereas engineers serve to science & technology hence contributing to industrialisation in country. And it is the only tool which can eradicate the poverty.
I mean to say that the way may be different but the aim of duo are same hence dont blame a indivisual is saying but think rationally using your own braon.
Thanks,
Mani
