Hi,
Can anybody help me? What is the difference between an HR Manual as a whole and an induction manual, recruitment manual, compensation manual, etc.? Is it necessary, once we have prepared an HR Manual, to prepare separate manuals like Induction, Recruitment, Compensation Manual, etc.? Can anybody brief me about this?
Regards,

HR Manual is like a bible, containing all information about the company, rules and regulations, recruitment policies, facilities, salary structure, and everything else that HR is involved in.
On the other hand, an Induction Manual or Employee Handbook is often provided to employees when they join the firm. It gives them a brief overview of the company, including all the rules and regulations, leave policies, and only the information that is essential for the employee's day-to-day operations.

Hi,
The HR manual contains policies and procedures of the company, while the Induction Manual includes policies and procedures that every employee should know. The extracted content from your HR manual serves as guidelines for new employees, with chapters like Recruitment Manual and Compensation Manual. Once you have created the HR manual, there is no need to create a separate one.

Hey,
Manuals are basically created to give an idea on specific topics. When it comes to an HR manual, it consists of the company history, terms of employment, work ethics, employment policies, employment records, standards of conduct, health and safety policies, benefits and services, and related information.
The Induction and Orientation manual includes a welcome letter, handing over belongings such as cabins, files, books, and PCs, a tour of company processes and different department members, basic standards and ethics of the company, instilling a strong value system, a brief meeting with the Managing Director or CEO to understand their roles and responsibilities, and finally, making one comfortable within the entire organization.

Hi all,
I appreciate the views presented here. Could anyone clarify if in the HR manual, the remuneration for every designation is briefly mentioned along with other expenses such as training and development costs? If so, it cannot be statutory because remuneration fluctuates based on market demand and the candidate's potential.
Please help clear my doubts.
