Dear Friends,
I am currently working as an HR Manager in a reputed company in the Infrastructure sector. I have received an offer to become an HR Head in the Telecom sector (Small Company) with approximately a 30% increase in salary. There are no proper HR systems in that company, and I would need to establish effective HR systems and practices. I would like to hear your views on whether I should accept this offer or not. If your answer is yes or no, please provide reasons for your opinion.
I am somewhat confused at this stage, and I would appreciate some suggestions to help me make a decision.
Regards,
Amar.

Dear Mr. Amarnath,
I think that joining another company with a 30% hike is really good. However, there are no proper HR practices in place, and you will have to initiate these practices yourself. You should present your plan for implementing new HR practices to the management and confirm whether they will support you or give you the freedom to implement the changes as needed.

Hi,
I agree with Santosh. If the company is really interested in building up a complete HR department around you, I would not think twice - better salary and better working opportunities! I believe you could gain some really interesting experience here that would help your career in the long run. But make sure what kind of vision the company has for HR - 1 to 2 years down the line.

Hi Amar,
Implementation, research, and development with high risk, without any stability, should be our view of working. So you can take a chance, as it is also said that failure is the pillar of success, so there is nothing to be afraid of. My other two friends have also suggested the same thing, i.e., you can develop yourself.
