Dear all,

Recently, we have changed our policy to Yearly Appraisal, which was previously Half-yearly. I just want to hear from all of you on what the general salary hike is on a yearly basis. It would be helpful if you could provide insights in terms of hierarchy: Trainees, Juniors, Software Engineers, Seniors, Team Leads, and Managers.

Generally, what is the percentage of yearly salary increase in a mid-sized software company?

Please don't reply by saying it depends on the company's financial position and policies.

The normal rate of hike is 30-40%. In the case of a consistent performer, it is around 50%. In the case of an exceptional performer, it could even exceed 50%.

However, such a hike could be given only after proper "Performance evaluation". That itself will speak volumes about who is eligible for how much hike.
